What Is Orthodontics?
Our orthodontists are concerned with the study and treatment of malocclusions (improper bites), which may be a result of tooth irregularity and/or disproportionate jaw relationships. Orthodontic treatment can focus on dental displacement only, or can deal with the control and modification of facial growth thus ameliorating the profile aesthetic.
With the new advanced technologies we offer multiple types of treatments:
Metal Braces:
Itâs what we call âtraditional bracesâ efficient and reliable. This is the type of braces that most teenagers get, because they are the least expensive version and can be âpersonalizedâ: patients have the ability to choose the color of the rubber bands around each bracket!
Ceramic Braces:
Ceramic braces are very popular, because they are made out of a ceramic material that is the same color and has the same texture as teeth, it would be very difficult to see the ceramic brackets on the teeth.
Ceramic braces are still offered by some orthodontists today. While they are more expensive than traditional braces, they are far less noticeable and offer the patient a faster treatment. Like real teeth, however, the brackets could easily stain if the patients were not diligent and stuck to their cleaning schedule!
Lingual (Invisible) Braces
They are metal brackets placed on the lingual side of the teeth to completely hide their presence. In this sense, they are truly invisible braces because someone standing right in front of you would not be able to tell you are wearing braces unless you tilt your head back and they see the lingual side of your teeth.
Clear Aligners: NO braces
InvisalignÂź is the invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made,removable,and comfortable aligners that no one can tell youâre wearing. Consider InvisalignÂź to get the beautiful smile youâve wanted-without braces.
